Applications may be made at any time although it is strongly recommended that applications for the Nursery class are made a year in advance.

The School is non-selective, although the admission of pupils higher up in the school is subject to interview, competency tests in English and to satisfactory reports of behaviour.

Pupils with special educational needs may be admitted unless the nature of the special educational need is such that it may pose a threat to other children, or where the child is unable able to access the curriculum within existing levels learning support provision. Parents of children with special educational needs are advised to discuss their child’s requirements with the school and where appropriate, provide a copy of an Educational Psychologist’s report or a medical report to support their application.

Where there are more applicants than places the School reserves the right to decide on admission taking into account the following:

• At age 3-6

Brothers/sisters in School; balance of sexes, and date of application.

• At age 7+

The same criteria will apply and in addition applicants must display reasonable competence in English as demonstrated in a test situation.

• At age 15+

Applicants will be admitted to Year 11, 12 and 13 only on verification of the suitability of their previous educational background.

Applicants will be placed with their own age group and additional short-term support provided where necessary.
